Buchanans Country Broth

A winter warmer for those chilly days. Perfect to make in a large batch and freeze.

Ingredients

  • 250g Buchanans Soup Mix
  • 4 Carrots (diced)
  • 1 small Turnip (diced)
  • 2 Onions (diced)
  • 1 stick of Celery (diced)
  • 1 leek (sliced)
  • 2.3 litres of chicken or vegetable stock
  • Salt and Pepper to season

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into a large pot and cover with the stock.
  2. Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for approximately 2 hours, stirring often.
  3. Add salt and pepper to season.
